KAREI - ENDLESS DEATH MATCH: Free Demo of the Turn-Based Puzzle Roguelike Launches October 10 on Steam, iOS and Android

TOKYO, JAPAN — October 2, 2026 — Phase Co., Ltd. today announced that a free demo of KAREI - ENDLESS DEATH MATCH (Japanese title: 華麗 無限城の死闘), a turn-based puzzle roguelike set in a castle without end, will launch simultaneously on Steam, iOS and Android on October 10, 2026. The game will also take part in Steam Next Fest, October 19–26 (PDT).

The castle has always been there. Many have climbed it; none have returned. Now a lone kunoichi begins her climb, armed with a scroll, a shuriken and the art of stealth. There is no way back. Only the next move.

KAREI is played on a compact 8×8 board. Every time you move, the enemies move too. Strike, dodge or set a trap: each turn is a small puzzle, and reading the enemy's next step decides whether you climb higher or fall for good.

KEY FEATURES
- Every move you make, they make too. Turn-based tactics on an 8×8 board where reading the enemy is everything.
- Three ninja tools. The scroll breaks enemy formations, the shuriken controls distance, and stealth hides your presence.
- Gadgets turn the tide. Secret tools found along the way can turn a desperate position into an opening. What you pick up, and when you use it, decides whether you survive.
- Every floor has its own face. Standard floors, karakuri floors where even the ground turns hostile, and more. Floors are generated on every run, and nothing carries over.
- Online leaderboards. The demo opens with its own ranking season, "Dawn Echoes".
